ChampionScott Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Trovato as Vice President, Worldwide Sales for V-Key Inc.  Mr. Trovato brings with him over 25 years of experience in worldwide sales including multiple IPOs and successful M&As building companies from start up stages.

Mr. Trovato comes to V-Key from HP where he was the VP, Worldwide Field Operations for Fortify Security Applications.  Mr. Trovato was the first VP, Sales at Fortify, and with $0 revenue, he helped build the company which was sold to HP in 2010 for $320M.  Prior to his time at Fortify, Mr. Trovato was SVP, Sales at Onaro which was acquired by Network Appliances in 2007.  Mr. Trovato joined Highground Systems in 1997 as SVP, Worldwide Sales, and led that team for 5 years before the company was acquired by Sun Microsystems in 2002.  Mr. Trovato joined the Vantive Corporation in 1993 as the VP, AMS Sales before it was acquired by PeopleSoft in 1997.  Earlier in Mr. Trovato’s career, he was the Regional VP for Computron Software which IPO’d in 1992.

Mr. Trovato holds a BA from Thomas College in Maine.
